Description: John and Chris will cover past and emerging litigation issues in LTCi with a focus on (1) rate increase decisions; (2) claims litigation; (3) fraud actions brought by carriers and (4) issues where plaintiffs’ lawyers may focus in 2019.

Bios:

MooreJohn M. Moore assists clients with litigation, regulatory, transactional, and compliance issues facing the life, disability, and long-term care insurance industries.  With respect to LTCi, John represents insurers in both individual policyholder and class action litigation involving a variety of issues ranging from provider eligibility, benefit eligibility, and lapse issues.  John has experience designing and implementing claims training programs for clients in the LTCi space, and has also been involved with anti-fraud efforts on behalf of the LTCi industry. 

 

 

 

Petillo
Christopher F. Petillo
assists clients with litigation and compliance issues facing life insurance and long-term care insurance insurers. With respect to LTCi, Chris assists carriers with claims issues, fraud investigations and litigation, lapse and nonforfeiture issues, and pricing issues.  Issues related to privacy and cybersecurity are also a significant part of Chris’ LTCi and insurance coverage practice, including compliance with GLB, HIPAA, and New York’s Cybersecurity Regulation.
